No need for extra clothes or lifejacket; a gumby suit will keep

worthless on a lifeboat & a sail won't get you anywhere in the middle of
the ocean. It is best to stay in the area where you sunk anyway. The
boat bag has a knife as well as any sailor should who is on the sea.

Radio, flare gun, mirror, torch, food rations, gold bar. Why not, the
mate on watch sends in position every four hours to company headquarters.
If they don't hear from us within 12 hrs a rescue mission is started.

Most of this stuff can be found in the ditty bag of a life boat or raft.

2. & 3. are the 30 water based food rations (because water, again, is the

most important thing) & the mirror (because it is the most useful tool for

signalling for help- reflect the sun in an S-O-S pattern.)
4. It is close, but I'd say the matches next- & you'd better be prepared
to maintain a perpetual fire & conserve ur matches only in the emergencies
when it goes out! Not only does fire provide warmth, the ability to cook
food, & the ability to sterilize water, you can also arrange three fires
in the shape of a triangle (smoky fires during the day) as the
international signal for HELP.
5. Right at the heels of matches is the sail, because you can build a
shelter out of it quickly & easily. however, you can also build a shelter
out of things on the island. Still, good convenient fabric like that is
hard to come by & I am a bit impractical.
6. I am really tempted on the knife, because it is a valuable tool for
making more clothes & shelter & cutting up food, but I should be able to
find a sharp rock/ pound a rock into a sharp tool/ find some kind or shell
or dead animal is teeth that will do as good a job as a PEN knife. So, I
will make my last salvage the extra clothes, so I don't have to be naked &
cold when I am washing the other set. Clothes would be harder to make than
shelter.

Anyone who woud take the gold & money deserves to die & be removed from
the gene pool.

money won't help, flair might but you need somebody looking for you first,
you have to have something to light the torch (if you don't mean it as a
flashlight) and I would not waste the matches, the cloths are nice but the
Pacific is kind of a warm ocean, I thought about the knife but depending on
the size, it may or may not do any good
